FAQs

What is the dress code?

Sunset Cocktail Cruise

Resort Wear or East Coast summer! Don’t forget to bring your swimwear or wear it under your clothes. There will be swimming.

Wedding

The wedding dress code is garden party attire. Now what the heck does that mean?!

For the ladies, maxi dresses with vibrant colors or flowers. For the men, linen suits and/or any suit with color.

Do not recommend thin heels. It’s a garden!

Recovery Beach Day

Whatever you want.

Most importantly, always remember to wear sunscreen.

What about money?

It’s very rare that you will need cash. Most places will accept Apple Pay and credit cards. You will only need it in case you want to buy something from street vendors at the beach, but apart from that, there is no need.

How do I get around?

Ubers, Ubers, Ubers. The average cost of Ubers around Zona Sul (Leblon, Ipanema, and Copacabana) is $5. I highly recommend taking Ubers everywhere, especially at night, even if it is a short walk.

Is it safe?

Rio de Janeiro is a magical city with so much culture, but like many developing cities, there are some watch-outs:

  • Be aware of your surroundings, and avoid walking at night. Recommend taking Ubers in the afternoon/nighttime.

  • Bring a travel pouch to keep your valuables. Do not bring your Rolex to Rio!

  • Avoid pulling your phone out while walking on the street.

  • Rio is a vibe, there’s no need to be scared, make good decisions, and you’ll have the best time!
